She is the president of the Caring Center for Women, which services two locations in San Marcos and New Braunfels, TX. Dr. Irwin is the only board-certified female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgeon in the San Antonio and Austin, TX Corridor. As an award-winning urogynecologist between San Antonio and Austin, Dr. Irwin has been voted as one of “Texas’ Best Doctors” by Texas Monthly in 2005 – 2007. I'm satisfied with Dr. Irwin but I don't think the Axonics system has helped my problems with incontinence. Changing my diabetic medicine helped with the bowel incontinence but still having too many urine per day with a few accidents. Still have to wear a pad to prevent accidents.

Appoint time No long wait. Dr Irwin explained about the surgery what she would do. recovery time. Discussed my problem and agreed with me to try pelvic floor exercises for 3 months and revisit my bowel problem, to see if there is any improvement my condition.

Pessary Insertion / Removal

I appreciate Dr. Irwin's expertise and assistance. I do not have the manual dexterity to remove/replace my pessary so a three-month visit takes care of it. Dr. Irwin answers my questions in plain English that I can understand. She is truly a God-sent to her patients! She also trains and takes in medical students aspiring to enter the profession.
