Jami Barnard MD enjoys working as a San Antonio OBGYN because she can truly make a difference in the life of each patient who steps into her office. She is passionate about helping women live their best and healthiest life at every age and stage. As a Heights Obstetrics and Gynecology provider, Dr. Barnard takes time to listen to her patient’s concerns and develop a treatment plan to help them feel their best.

Jami Barnard MD earned her Bachelor of Science from Texas A&M University in College Station. She then earned her medical degree from the Texas Tech University Paul L. Foster School of Medicine in El Paso.

Dr. Barnard is a licensed OBGYN who twice received the “Outstanding Teaching Resident” award and has been a member of the Gold Humanism Honor Society since 2012.

An active volunteer in the community, Dr. Barnard’s interests include educating women on preventive healthcare, providing care at various health fairs and clinics and instructing childbirth education classes. She is a junior fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the author of multiple publications on a wide range of women’s health issues.

Dr. Barnard enjoys exploring San Antonio with her husband and daughter. Her hobbies include backpacking, traveling and spending time outdoors.

From the check-in and processing my new insurance, to promptly being taken to get vitals, put in a room all before my 9:20am appointment, it was a upbeat experience. Staff was curtious. My appointment was on time and complete. Dr. Barnard is AMAZING. She always greets me as I'm sure all her patients with authencity. Listens to any concerns but asks about me as a person. Love this place and have been coming here for years!!!

I was told by the front desk clerk that if i was there for an annual exam. Therefore, if I asked the doctor any additional questions not pertaining to the annual exam I would then be charged a copay of over $100. I was shocked by this statement .

The front office television is awful! The volume is way too loud. I could not escape it wearing my ear buds and seated in the very back row. The channel had really dumb programming and ads. White noise or soft music would be a huge improvement for patient privacy, and comfort of those of us waiting our turn.
