Dr. Derrick was raised in Chicago before she relocated to South Texas. She attended college and medical school at the University of Texas at San Antonio. She then went on to complete a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. After relocating to the McKinney area, she started practicing at Craig Ranch OB/GYN, where she has remained since 2008. She married in 2012 and currently resides in McKinney with her husband and their children. Dr Derrick stopped delivering babies in 2023 so she could devote more time to her family and her gynecologic patients.
