About Therese Purcell, NP
Therese Purcell is deeply passionate about women’s health and considers it a privilege to care for patients through every stage of life. She is especially dedicated to supporting women through pivotal and often vulnerable moments—from reproductive health and family planning to navigating complex gynecologic concerns. Known for her compassionate approach and attentive listening, Therese strives to build meaningful relationships with her patients so they feel heard, respected, and empowered in their care.
Originally from New York, Therese earned her Bachelor of Science with honors from Molloy College. She went on to receive her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from Rutgers University, where she developed a strong foundation in clinical excellence and evidence-based, patient-centered care.
Prior to becoming a Nurse Practitioner, Therese spent 11 years as a registered nurse, gaining extensive hands-on experience across a variety of high-acuity settings, including medical-surgical units and the intensive care unit. She dedicated seven of those years to labor and delivery, where she also served as a charge nurse in busy New York hospitals. This rich clinical background continues to shape her thoughtful, well-rounded approach to patient care and reinforces her deep commitment to women’s health.
Outside of her professional life, Therese embraces her role as a new mother—an experience that has deepened her empathy and connection with the patients she serves. She and her partner share a deep love for their son and their beloved 13-year-old dog, McDreamy, a charming Chihuahua-Yorkie mix who brings constant joy to their family.
