About Chizaram Nwogwugwu, MD

Dr. Nwogwugwu is very passionate about women’s health. She strives to provide high quality health care to women, regardless of what stage of life they are in. She believes in educating women about their bodies so as to help them attain their best state of health.

She attended Texas Tech University and was awarded a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry. She obtained her medical degree at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. Following medical school, she was accepted into the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, where she completed her Residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Training in the Texas Medical Center afforded her an opportunity to meet and treat people from varied backgrounds, with very unique and diverse conditions.

Dr. Nwogwugwu offers a wide-ranging of care and treatment options for women including the management and delivery of pregnancy, preventative care, family planning and management of acute and chronic issues such as vaginal discharge, vaginal dryness, sexually transmitted diseases, pelvic pain, uterine fibroids, PCOS, ovarian cysts, menopause, and osteoporosis as well as minimally invasive surgical and diagnostic procedures including hysterectomy and colposcopy.

In her free time, Dr. Nwogwugwu loves to spend time with her family. She enjoys traveling, meeting new people and learning about their culture. She enjoys reading period pieces and loves to cook for friends and family.
