About Rachel Carlson, MD
Dr. Carlson is thrilled to be joining the River Place and Pflugerville OBGYN team. A native Texan, Dr. Carlson brings expertise, compassion, and energy to providing care for her patients. After graduating summa cum laude from the University of Alabama, she underwent her medical school and residency training at the University of Texas at Houston in the Texas Medical Center, where she served as Chief Resident in her final year.
Dr. Carlson is honored to form personal relationships with her patients and to be with them through many seasons of life. She aims to create a comfortable space to educate and empower patients while providing clinical excellence and heartfelt dedication to their care. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, trying the newest restaurants in town, traveling, watching Alabama football, and spending time with her husband and their families.
