Dr. Ashitey was born in Chicago, IL but raised in Ghana, West Africa by her Ghanaian parents who wanted her to learn more about her heritage. She enjoys traveling, cooking, hosting game nights, and attending comedy shows. She’s also loves volunteering in the community and is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
