Betsy is a dedicated Certified Nurse Midwife and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant. She completed her midwifery education at the University of Colorado in 2017 and holds a Doctoral Degree in Nursing Practice. Betsy has been a registered nurse since 2011.
Her care philosophy emphasizes autonomy, trust, education, and empowerment, with a special interest in integrative women’s health and supporting physiologic birth. She is passionate about helping women feel confident and achieve their breastfeeding goals. With broad experience ranging from community birth to high-risk hospital birth, Betsy believes that midwifery care should be an option for all women. She loves connecting with families and empowering them throughout their pregnancy journeys, viewing birth as a transformative mind-body-spirit experience—a magnificent yet normal life event. Betsy looks forward to getting to know you and being a part of your birth story!
She is a native Midlander and moved back home from Denver in 2022. She is proud to work alongside the best of the best in West Texas at Midland Women’s Clinic, where she aims to expand midwifery care options in the Permian Basin. When she’s not supporting families, Betsy enjoys spending time with her husband and son, gardening, and being out in nature.
